Kunst en Vriendschap
The
fanfare, of music association
Kunst & Vriendschap in Zoetermeer has it's own education. Kids can join already very young to playfully learn about music. After one or two years they choose an instrument. If they choose to play a brass instrument, they get lessons from me. There are other teachers for the woodwinds and for the percussion. When the student finishes the first book , he or she gets to join the learning orchestra and when they pass their 'B-exam' they are allowed to join the fanfare.
Last Saturday it was presentation day: all pupils perform in groups for parents, friends and music fans. This picture shows just one of the seven little groups that I formed for the day. More photos are to be found on my Flickr page.
P.S. The name 'Kunst en Vriendschap' means 'Art and Friendship'

sweet pumpkin pie
Since I posted about the pumpkin soup, I also ought to post about the pie. This is it! A pie full of o so tasty cholesterol ;)
Pumpkin soup
Outside the weather is cold. Inside it's warm and snug, smelling nicely because of the soup that's on the stove. I sometimes just love being oldfashioned!!
Update: The soup tasted nice! And now I just decided to make a delicious
pumpkin pie out of the remaining part of the pumpkin. Thanksgiving is on it's way...
